From NY Liberty public relations:
Marine Johannes has issued the following statement: "Je suis revenue." (I'm back.)
I take that to mean that we will see Johannes on the court tonight. Wonderful!

We've got the game on live and in color on Ion.
My husband's work setup obscures the bottom half of my TV screen, so the black shoulders on the green jerseys are really throwing me off on closeups. I'm like, 'why are both teams wearing black?'

| also, I see that this is listed as a 7PM start, and it is not! It started at 6 Eastern, 5 Central.

I suspect that ION games are not going to be trustworthy in terms of starting times on TV listings. On Spectrum, it was listed for me as 8:00 p.m. EST and then finally, yesterday, changed to 6:00 p.m.
Already one lovely behind-the-back pass by Marine Johannes!!!

| maybe ION thinks they don't need to show an East Coast game on their West Coast feed. Anyway it's on League Pass for me.

It's recording on YouTubeTV.
I keep getting kicked out of LP because they say I have too many streams open (?)
Well, we did better than I thought we would. Smith was great tonight! We should have won - it's always the missed free throws that bite us in the butt...

Outstanding effort by the Sky. I agree that they should have won--and am saying that with no criticism intended. Yes, there were those missed free throws. But so often a game like this goes right down to the end and then the biggest star on the court makes the biggest play.

It's the losses by one point that show how critical FTs are! EWill missed two late in the game, which we let slip away since we had been ahead for most of it.
CWill came up with some key shots at the end after being scoreless.
I listened to the post-game presser and Alanna said CWill is the team's calming force. Would never have thought that!
My ride, who sits on the floor near the tunnel, got a selfie with Ruthy, her man and the baby - kyoot! She said she'll be back in a couple of weeks.

ION has Local and National broadcasts. They have picked the games for each already. They publicized on their Socials and this website below. The League website shockingly doesn't tell you which is which tho.

Duke fan here. Been following EWill and her brother Mark for awhile. Both have issues with hitting clutch free throws. Both have cost their teams victories over missed free throws. Love them both. Aside - used to see young brother Mark in the stands when sis played. He was just a kid and not at all tall at the time. He played for Duke as a 7 footer. Like sis EWill, he was a phenomenal defensive player. Maybe they should have gotten in more free throw reps in that driveway!

what annoyed me most was that instead of the games they were showing 40 year old re-runs from Hawaii 5-0.

Now, now, these were reruns of the reboot series. They were only about 5-10 years old.
