OL Reign for sale, OL Groupe changes teams

So basically OL Groupe is selling OL Reign FC and bringing the Washington Spirit into their fold. Current Washington owner Michele Kang will be the new CEO and majority owner of OL Groupe, so there's quite a feather in the cap. She will be the first-ever woman-owned and led multi-club football group.

I'm just hoping when they say Washington and Lyon will have their own identities that the Spirit won't become OL Spirit <barf>.

It will be interesting what happens to the Reign and who will buy them. HOPEFULLY it's someone or some group that will keep them in Seattle and change the name back to Seattle Reign.

whew she looks good as gold. 🤩 while the team's new ownership has not yet been made official, it is expected to be at least partially owned by the Sounders FC. if nothing else, it looks like we aren't going anywhere!

Excellent!!! I prefer teams to be "City" "Nickname" and not the Euro-style FC "City" or "City" FC
