They say teams take after their coach, but this slog bears no resemblance whatsoever to the way Dawn Staley played

Cocks play their usual nuclear powered defense and crushing rebounding, and then bring the 2024 national champion team off the bench. And it will probably get more annihilating in the second half if history holds.
Actually, UCLA is playing very good defense, and if a team could do that and hit 15 3pt shots, maybe they could beat the Cocks. But who can do that? Iowa when hot could provide enough offense to really hurt SCar, but they don't have the defense. |

Why does UCLA keep pulling out of their transition opportunities. They're never going to beat SC playing half court offense.

UCLA is doing their best but they don’t have the stuff. However, they also won’t go away, and I admire the way they’re doing that.

The overrated Pac12 finally disappears with a whimper.
Three teams in history could have beaten SCar: the Roman Legion, the hordes of Genghis Khan and Patton's Third Army. |

I don’t expect anyone to beat SC this year, but I enjoy seeing teams try. Except maybe LSU 😝

South Carolina shot 38% from the floor and 25% from three. A team that can limit their offensive rebounding and get some transition points will have a chance to beat them.
