• All of the McDonald's All Americans have either signed or committed to colleges, and, unlike previous years where a top college program would rake in several of the selections, these future stars are spread out. LSU, Arizona, UConn and Notre Dame each have two commits named to the field

• La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, Calif.) is the lone school with two players as Arizona commits Cunningham and guard Jada Williams each land on the West roster

• California leads the way with four players with Watkins and Amanda Muse of Heritage (Brentwood, Calif.) joining the LJCD duo.

• A switch from last year is that the players are already designated into East and West squads.

The 2023 McDonald’s All American Girls game will air on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the Boys game will immediately follow on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.

I just noticed how much this is a "rich get richer" event. I think the only schools with players in the game who are not in the top 25 are Alabama and UVA.

The rich get richer... but for how many of them will it be temporary? How many of these kids will see through four years at the same school?

You're right, they do. I just copied that from the MaxPreps article.

The other shocker to me is that there is a total of ONE player from the 24 in this game who are headed to the (current) Big 10 (Maryland).

B10 - 1
ACC - 5
SEC - 7
PAC - 6
B12 - 3
BE - 2

In the above, Tex and OK are counted as B12, USC and UCLA are counted as PAC. If we adjust for upcoming moves by those teams it becomes:

B10 - 3
ACC - 5
SEC - 9
PAC - 4
B12 - 1
BE - 2

If Wikipedia is of any credibility, the Big 10 had zero representatives in the 2021 AND 2022 McD AA games......

And ND"s highest rated recruit isn't even in this group (she's already playing at ND).
