Deedee Hagemann just hyper-extended her right knee while making a steal. It doesn’t look good. The Spartans were up 38-33 at the time - early in 3Q.

Hagemann made it back into the game 6 minutes of clock later. Spartans still with a slim lead.

Czinano just fouled out with 2:08 left. She had 22 points and went 100% from the field (10-10). MSU 67-66.

Alexander fouled out (Parks had earlier). Both teams are playing small ball. With 1:01 left Iowa up 70-69.

Clark was inbounding the ball under the Iowa basket with 5 seconds left, and MSU tipped away the pass and got the steal. 70 all. MSU calls timeout to advance with 3.2 left.

Ekh had a good look at a baseline jumper, but it hit the rim. Going into OT.

BTW Clark has a double-double 20p/10a but is only 5-17 from the field with 3:00 left in OT.

McDaniel makes a bad choice, gets jammed up under the basket and forces a shot under the backboard - way too early in the clock!
Clark is fouled bringing the ball back and makes both FT.
MSU down three with :17 left and advanced ball.

MSU with another questionable decision as Ekh heaves an airball with 5 seconds left.

What a turn of events. Clark was trying to separate from a defender before the inbounds and ends up hitting McDaniel in the face when she pulled her arm away.
McDaniel hits both free throws. MSU gets the ball on the sideline with 5 seconds left.

McDaniel drives baseline and travels!
Davis is fouled after the rebound and makes both. McDaniel throws up the half court shot - banked but missed. Iowa survives.

Thank you for the updates, mzonefan. I KNEW that was gonna be a good one - Michigan State is not to be overlooked, by any means!

MSU is definitely a conundrum this season - especially by losing to Purdue and Wisconsin at home. They are dangerous but only have 2 B1G wins. (One against IU and one against O-fer Northwestern.)
