Oklahoma with two late 3s to go up 11 on Iowa State going into the 4th. Outscored the Cyclones by 12 in the 3rd.

Oklahoma survives. Soares didn't return after that injury 2 minutes in.

Another SEC gem today was LSU 67 Ken 45. The two teams combined for 50 turnovers and there were 39 ft's on 36 fouls.

Another boring march to the ft line? Is that entertainment?

Yeah, her injury significantly *equalized* things for OK. Shocked Not exactly glamorous b-ball - kinda gritty, but the chess-match between the coaches was admirable. Stats were pretty much a wash. IA St. defense pretty much shut Robertson down (1-3 from the arc), but Llanusa was hot! (60% on FGs, 4-9 on 3s for 23 pts)

One *sad* result of the game's broadcast was to see the enormous change in crowds at the Lloyd Noble Arena - Ten years ago, it was a sea of red. Now - with a better product, no less - the fans aren't back yet as they were in the Coale days. Kinda reminds me of Miss St's drain when Vic left.

St. John’s did not appreciate losing to Seton Hall, and expressed that lack of appreciation all over Xavier, 71-52. Jayla Everett put up 26 points in the win. Johnnies also got 16 points and 13 rebounds from Jillian Archer. Mackayla Scarlett had 18 to lead Xavier.

They honored the 2011-12 team before the game, with about half the squad present and Kim Barnes Arico delivering a pre-recorded message. I MISS THEM ALL SO MUCH. *flails*

Marquette’s no offense team returned and they got absolutely blown out at Creighton today. They got my hopes up with the tournament in the Bahamas but back to reality now - this is definitely not an NCAA Tournament team.

Appalachian State came to Harrisonburg last night to try to take down the Dukes. Nope. The got close a couple of times and even got to within 2 points in the last quarter, but JMU held them off and went on to win, 73-64, in a game marked by really ugly refereeing. I don't know where they came from, but these people need to go back there. Kiki Jefferson had 21 and Ksniia Kozlova and Jamia Hazell 14 each for the Dukes. Emily Carver scored 21 and Faith Alston 15 for the Mountaineers. JMU currently sits atop the Sun Belt.

Georgia State was in Harrisonburg today for a doubleheader, women's game at 4 and men's at 7. JMU women kept their Sun Belt winning streak going by beating the Panthers 63-57. Kiki Jefferson had 18 for the Dukes, followed by Steph Ouderkirk's 13, 12 of which were 4 3-pointers in a row. Mikyla Tolivert scored 17 and Deasia Merrill 15 for the losers.
