Wow, it would be great if Ebo always played like she has this 4th Q.

Well that game certainly didn't play out the way I anticipated.
But I'm happy.

Very well played and coached game by ND. I was impressed especially by the defense, which I didn't expect to be so strong.
Many UConn weaknesses exposed: Lack of height. Hence lack of rebounding. Hence lack of interior defense. Lack of players with shooting touch other than Fudd and Senechal. (I've never seen any statistical evidence that Ducharme is even an average 3pt shooter over a season.)
I would have liked to have seen DeBerry play most of Griffin's/Patterson's minutes in the forging furnace of this early season, non-conference game. Geno, of course, is too conservative and much too reluctant to sub beyond his usual 7 or 8 rotation even when the game is meaningless. |

....and....there ya have it! Gotta say, I can't remember when there was a team with such EXTRAORDINARY levels of talent, with most taken out by injuries to become ....an *average* team. Not UConn's year. Hope Fudd is okay.
ND clearly deserved the win.....some amazing displays from Miles & Co (albeit a coupla *hot dog* moments thrown in there by Olivia, too). I've never seen Ebo play so many minutes. She reminded me of a heavier Courtney Paris - very strong hands in the paint for rebounding.

I'm here! I've been sick with RSV. Did you know that a person who isn't 7 could get that?
Anyway-
Great game by ND. I knew the minute Paige got hurt that this was a sure loss. All the stars aligned for a ND win. They were coming off a loss on a buzzer beater, it was out first true road game, ND has great guards, and Aubrey Griffin was left open to shoot and missed.
Good game plan by the irish, stink job by us, and more than anything, I'm just really worried about Fudd.
I hope we see each other again on a neutral court with Azzi and Dorka in the mix.

Very sorry to see that Fudd is going to be out 3-6 weeks.
Tough break for UConn, but mostly I feel sorry for Fudd and wish her a full and quick recovery.
