"ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS — The University of Georgia women's basketball team used a 26-0 second-half run to down the Wisconsin Badgers, 68-60, Thursday in the opening game of the 2023 Paradise Jam.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improve their perfect record to 6-0 on the year, while the Badgers fall to 3-3. Next up, Georgia will face VCU on Friday at 3:15 p.m. ET.
Diamond Battles once again led Georgia with a 24-point effort, finishing one off her career high. Battles tied a career best with five made 3-point field goals. Brittney Smith added 16 points and is now one point away from 1,000 in her career.
The Lady Bulldogs forced 23 Badger turnovers and outscored Wisconsin 25-5 in the fourth quarter."
