This game will be a challenge. Minnesota has two posts that are great glass cleaners. Chicago can't afford to miss easy layups and commit dumb turnovers.

We can never afford it - we just do it, and it's so maddening!

Will be interesting to see the crowd reaction to this:

This game against the Lynx will also mark the final regular season trip to Wintrust Arena for former Sky player Sylvia Fowles. To honor her career, we will have a short tribute to her prior to tip-off so if you wish to see this, please plan ahead.

Also:

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX, we will be commemorating this with a postgame panel featuring our own Candace Parker, City of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, DePaul Women’s Coach Doug Bruno, Sky minority owner Margaret Stender and others.

The Sky gave Sylvia a recliner for a retirement present in the pregame ceremony.... I love it. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Here is a great stat for Sloot:

Just plain stressful (no Coach Wade, no Kah, still jelling AND THE BLUE JERSEYS?!! Confused Laughing ) I'm so glad they got the W! A bit of overpassing early and letting the Lynx back in the game once they took the lead. Of course, the Lynx were fighting hard and Sheppard looked good! It was great to see Julie looking for her shot and Dana getting in the mix. Nice team win!

Love they way they honored Syl!!

Go Sky!!

You know...they have to stop this end of the game win madness - all of us in my section were all stressed out! That was a fantastic ending shot! At the same time, we should not have had to get to that point.

I hear you ChiSky54 and can only imagine how it felt in the arena bc I was stressed all the way out at home! I truly agree that they should not need the end game heroics so often but I'm so glad they are getting it done!

Message received ChicagoAnnie! Let's see where we are after tmr night :! Laughing

Julie Allemande must be from Wallonia, the French speaking part of Belgium.

Nobody tell Holly Rowe. I guess she's comfortable with Valery Demory coaching the Belgian national team then since he presumably coaches in French. His predecessor coached in English to not favor one language over the other.
