Just saw the video of a post-game interview with Van Lith where she was asked what Kobe would say. Interesting that VL felt comfortable responding in public that way. I think a Black player would have been more cognizant of how those comments would play out in the media/with fans and if a Black player had said the same thing I don't doubt she would have been called "ghetto," "classless," etc. by a lot of media and fans.

Van Lith said, "He [Kobe] would say, 'Go f*ckin win this shit, Hailey." She sort of made an attempt to self censor the f word by lowering her voice but didn't at all for the s word.

In this clip the s word is bleeped out, but that was edited after the fact. Watching live, none of it was bleeped.
