If Creighton beats Iowa State after beating Iowa, does this mean Flanery can challenge Kim Reynolds for governor of Iowa? Razz

Not exactly a torrential FLOOD of 3s, but they're dropping well enough. Creighton 10, IA St. 7, at the end of 3. Interesting game.

Has a Big East team beaten a real enough team for y'all yet?

Who has the best motion offense in the country? Creighton.

Who has only two players over 6 feet, both at 6-1, to play against South Carolina's giants? Creighton.

I have been vacillating over whether I think ISU is a top 12 team. Final answer: No.

Or maybe they exposed a couple of overrated teams?

Either way, they're really easy to root for.

But then there's DePaul's performance. Let's not forget them. . . .

1 BE team is where we thought they’d be, one went out earlier thank expected, and 2 exceeded expectations.

That suggests the BE is a little underrated or the three teams they beat were overrated.

Orrr....it's just March Madness 101. Razz Not so certain that one's final verdict on a team's True Quality is validly determined by their last loss.

I'd endorse that except the one team from Iowa the Creighton couldn't beat was... Drake! Season opener, Novemeber 10th, lost on a buzzer beater. Amazing growth over the season to go from that loss to beating Iowa and Iowa State to make the Elite 8. Great story.

I suspect a significant reason is that Flanery's complex screening and cutting motion offense takes a long time to master.

I meant more in the old-fashioned mortal combat kind of way.
