I dunno, myrtle, I do expect blood. They are pretty surgical, after all.

I don't remember Kansas being this competitive since the Angel Goodrich days. Big 12 fans, what clicked this year for them because I remember they went to the cellar quickly

Haven’t watched Kansas, but I’m guessing the Jayhawks this year have been helped immensely by their 6-6 center (JC?) transfer who’s averaging 3 blocks per game and contributes on offense as well.

Stanford looks like the best #1 to me and also the best team overall. They have it all: multiple good posts with height and/or hops, wings, guards, 2pt shooters, good motion and cutting, 3pt shooters, above average defense and rebounding, quality depth. No significant weakness.

Much less impressed so far by S.Car. and Louisville, and we'll see about NC St. after tomorrow's game.

Stanford absolutely did. However, I also think they have the toughest Sweet 16 match-up of any of the 1 seeds with Maryland.

Maryland can be had. And has been, badly, this season. If Stanford just keeps doing what they do, they should be all right.

This is a great matchup on paper, but given Maryland's injury woes all season and Frese's teams habit of underperforming in the NCAAT, I give Stanford a pretty big edge. They're a much smarter, well-coached, and defensive basketball team.
