To me, Walker is too much like Herbert Harrigan, who Reeve was happy to send packing.

reeve kept it real, I think she probably passes on walker.

I find it hard to believe that any GM would make it easier for other GMs to figure out who they like or don't like... seems more like GM mind games. Razz

Is there more to this interview or is that it? Question

Nothing against Dana Evans, but four Louisville players in three years would be a pattern -- and a dumb pattern. That's the one pick that would drive me crazy.

Me during the draft: "THINK OUTSIDE THE ACC" but yes I did not think we needed another Louisville guard

Is Kysre really pronounced like "Kaizer"? That is a BAD baby name, expecially for a girl. That's the ugliest possible pronunciation of that word. Not only is it evocative of male dictatorship, it also just makes me think of my health insurance. I thought it was "KIZ-rah".

She says her name in this vid:

Well, that makes more sense. (Not that it had to).

Thanks pilight, now I can sleep at night. Wink

For the record, I think the pronunciation chart should have put an 'r,' and judging by Onyenwere's tweet, that's clearly what she would have preferred.

But, I understand why they put a 'd.' People who can't flip their r's in the way you need to for Spanish or Latin or other languages that use that sound are often taught to substitute a very light 'd' sound. A casual listener can't tell the difference.

In fairness to all the broadcasters out there, you can see how the Nigerian pronunciation or the 'were' ends up veering into a 'd' very easily.

Talking of her heritage, I wonder if there's any chance of her being tempted by the Nigerian national team. She's been in the USA basketball system, but not necessarily high enough to lock her in yet. Could mean a near-immediate trip to an Olympic Games...

Look for Didi Richards to go higher. At 6'2"', great defender, athletic, can defend both guards and forwards well. gives 100% always, can rebound, good teammate, etc. Not a great offensive shooter or scorer though, as most of you know. No one out there like her.

pilight thinks she should go No. 3.

Richards made the All Rookie team and finished 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting. I feel entirely vindicated.

*Tied for 2nd, with but a single vote, but nonetheless you’re right. Razz I did immediately think of you & this take upon seeing Richards receive the honor. Funny how things work out – I’m not sure who would’ve predicted that Richards’ offense would be a key factor in her making the Team. Aside from her surprising emergent 3PT ability, she was one of the few rookies who shot over 40% from the field in general (one of whom was not the actual ROY winner). Embarassed

Yeah richards 3 point shot improved in 1 season versus 4 college seasons. I dont think she ever made this many 3's in a season at Baylor. Pilight ?
