That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking that damn, that's a very impressive list of home opponents!

I'm wondering if that's their full home non-con, and the road games will be filled in. They've had an ongoing series with St. John's, since Coach Tartamella is an alum, and I think it's our turn to host. If that's the case, we should know the date of that game sometime in October.

Syracuse

Each team will play three games, November 20-22.

This site never allows me to post images, but this is the official bracket for the tournament that came out today.

Bracket 1:

Connecticut vs Minnesota
South Florida vs Syracuse

Bracket 2:

Oregon vs Oklahoma
South Carolina vs Buffalo

If the draws play out, the top two seeds would play for the championship - we already have a game scheduled in Columbia later this season, not to mention whatever could happen in the NCAAT.......

I didn't see the preseason WNIT field noted in here, so have a link!

Saved you a click: two four-team round-robin sets, no crossover, hosted at NC State (with Florida, Towson, and Wofford) and Kansas State (with NC A&T, UT Martin, and WKU)

They don't seem to be doing a tournament though either. Maybe because of Covid they had a problem getting one lined up. Doesn't look like they are playing Liberty either, for which God be thanked. I've had about enough of them and their pious coach and their dirty play. Also starting off with a bang with UVA rather than easing in with some local bunch.

Laughing Laughing Now, THERE'S a school that should be driven outta existence, compared to the way some hated on Kim 'n Baylor. I always liked the Frazee triplets out of Liberty, but DO NOT have any respect for the school and its leadership.

They had a "fan" at one time who dressed up in some kind of "flame" outfit and whose sole purpose was to stand in the opposing team's bench's earshot and emit earsplitting shrieks that went on forever. He was thrown out of JMU's Convo Center in the middle of the first quarter and strongly advised that he would not be welcome ever again.

And any school that would hire Art Briles after how he behaved during the Baylor rape scandal......(he's still there, even though Jerry Jr. is gone)

Wisconsin announced their non-conference schedule today:

I'm bummed to see that they aren't playing Marquette yet again this season. I miss that rivalry game.

St. John's non-con (tl;dr: hyper-local except for the Gulf Coast Showcase): https://redstormsports.com/news/2021/8/12/womens-basketball-joe-tartamella-announces-2021-22-non-conference-schedule.aspx

Columbia (tl;dr: some very aggressive travel): https://gocolumbialions.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule

in fact, here's the entire Ivy League, testing out their brand new schedule format! (warning for PDF) https://ivyleague.com/documents/2021/8/12//BASKETBALL.pdf?id=4436

A West Coast trip to face Pac-12 schools California and Oregon highlight the schedule, along with a visit to Mississippi State of the SEC in Lynn Kennedy's debut season with the Cowgirls.

The Cowgirls will play teams from the SEC, PAC-12, Conference USA, Sun Belt, WAC, and the SWAC along with a NAIA opponent.

South Carolina's non-conference is still being hammered out. Here is what is understood at this point in time:

November 9th (TBD) - at North Carolina State (Raleigh, N.C.)
November 12th (TBD) - vs South Dakota (Sanford Pentagon, Sioux Falls, S.D.) (Sioux Falls Invitational)
November 17th (TBD) - vs Clemson (Columbia, S.C.)
November 20th (TBD) - vs Buffalo (Paradise Island, Bahamas) (Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament)
November 21st (TBD - if applicable) - vs winner between Oklahoma and Oregon (Paradise Island, Bahamas) (Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament)
November 22nd (TBD - if applicable) - vs finalist between Connecticut, Minnesota, South Florida, and Syracuse (Paradise Island, Bahamas) (Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament)
November 29th (TBD) - vs North Carolina A&T (Columbia, S.C.)

December 3rd (TBD) - vs Kansas State (Columbia, S.C.) (SEC/Big12 Challenge)
December 12th (3:00 pm) - vs Maryland (Columbia, S.C.) (Jimmy V Classic)
December 15th (TBD) - at Duke (Durham, N.C.)
December 21st (TBD) - vs Stanford (Columbia, S.C.)

February (TBD) - vs Connecticut (Columbia, S.C.)

Still possibilities for Duke and Stanford to be added to the schedule. The SEC/Big-12 Challenge news with K-State was announced by them Wednesday, and both the non-conf. schedules for NC A&T and Clemson were announced today....

*EDIT* - added Stanford and Duke to the schedule as they are official now per those two programs....

NDSU

Pre conference portion is milquetoastian, although I like having Montana and the Wisky schools on the schedule. KState is because KittyKat AD Gene Taylor held same position in Bisonville but there are other BiGXII, er XI, er X (oops that’s taken) teams I’d rather them play against. I also like having one game against instate lower division opposition (and think that game be on the road) but Bison are playing both Jamestown and Dickinson state.

Purdue-Fort Wayne.

Biggest game is a road trip to ND on December 12.

Here's Oregon's non-conference games thus far, but I don't think it's complete....unless Pac 12 games start way before Christmas.

Can't wait to see Maryland vs. South Carolina. I was highly anticipating that match-up in the Elite 8 last season, but Texas had other plans.
