we've definitely seen that Odom cannot in any way shape or form defend K. Mitchell...and she continues to try to do so.

Ugh. This is rough. It looks like fatigue is playing a factor. But it’s the WNBA and these things unfortunately happen.

yes. ugliness all around. and McCowan is totally dominant against a team with not much inside.

It’s hard to get those fullcourt TD passes that the Liberty relied on against Dallas when the QB is sitting on the bench.

Indy has a very large semi - quiet crowd on hand

QB struggling with TOs in this one.
And Jones back to being 80% negative.

Indiana’s perimeter defense was real good. They played well. Combine that with NY appearing not to have legs. Frustrating game but at no point after the first quarter did they even get into clean offensive sets.

The Fever's two game winning streak matches the longest streak the Sparks have had this season

Once I read that the Liberty players had spent nine hours in the airport I assumed the game was lost. Combine that with flying a few hours on the morning of the game. Ugh.

That looks like the most people in the arena for the Fever since Paul George bought out the arena for Catchings' regular season finale.

The announcer said something about a basketball tournament being in town for the weekend. Probably wasn't all Fever fans in the stands.

That certainly didn't help, but I'm wondering why the Liberty didn't leave the day before the game. The previous game was on July 5 so time shouldn't have been an issue.

Shook and Gray combined for 23 points and 11 rebounds and still the NYL looked horrible for most of the game. When the team's offense stagnates Laney tries to take on too much and that's when her turnovers sky rocket. Confused why Onyenwere didn't play more.
McCowan went for 15pts, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks in just 23min. I shudder to think what would have happened had she been given starter minutes.

They tried. Elsa said no.

Exactly. Hard to imagine that any professional team would intentionally fly halfway across the country in the morning or afternoon for an evening game the same day unless that was literally the only choice.

I think she, like Cambage, is not able to go for much more than 25-30 minutes max. It seems like if they play more than that their production goes down...and they definitely looked gassed. They both look pretty physically fit but perhaps it is harder for big women to move up and down that much. It is true though that if she started, they might be able to get more minutes/more times of rest in there. And against a team like NY, she should totally dominate. They have nobody close to being able to guard her.
