Everyone knows Bonner is the leading scorer and hit what was essentially a game winner right? Ya'll been singing the same love song, how about actual production. Yeah yeah rebounds are good but clutchness and getting the ball in the hole is as well.

How can they not acknowledge the 9th triple double in WNBA history?
And if that half week of games is included, she also has a game-winning shot.

Just curious. Who picks these anyway? Is it a committee? One person? Media? Coaches?

Grats to Io and Stewie. They deserve it, though JJ also had a fabulous week.

Jonquel snubbed again. She'll just have to have a week where there is NO doubt that she deserves it.

Loyd hasn't won it? That's surprising. I guess there is a lot more competition on the West.

Is anyone from Seattle allowed to exist in the eyes of the media other than Bird and Stewart?

I'm surprised the Laney was named this week. She had a good game against Dallas but did not play well against Atlanta. This was her first game under 50% shooting, no 3 pointers, and while she had 11 assists she also had 7 turnovers.

Laney is playing to All-WNBA standards but this wasn't the week to reward her.

It's unusual, but not unprecedented, that the #17 pick is the only POW for a draft class

Now there's a trivia question ...

It's one we've done before. Erin Thorn, the #17 pick of the 2003 draft, won the only POW award for that class.

I'm sorry, what.

I assume part of it is that class's lack of longevity and the POW conference split coming too late for them to take advantage of the extra award opportunities, but. I. What.

Looks like Jonquel Jones won Player of the month; so they spread out the awards.

Jonquel Jones and Jewell Loyd for week 3

Betnijah Laney's status as the only 2015 draftee to win POW lasted exactly one week
