Wow. About time.
She really should have stuck around at UCLA when she had a good thing going. Never quite panned out at LSU.

Wonder who will replace those two. And does anybody know what Jon Harper's reputation is as a coach? He's always been on Kellie's staff, got his first asst. coach gig with Wes Moore but I don't hear much about him. |
He's pretty anonymous. Supposed to be the post coach. KK improved considerably after 2 years with him, Tamari Key not so much. |
Key was only in her second year in college. I think she’s right about on schedule. She’ll continue to improve if she works hard. I’m more concerned with who replaces Lacey Goldwire, who I think was in charge of much of the recruiting. |
I think the jury is still out on Jon Harper's abilities. Samantha Williams is supposed to be an "elite recruiter"...hopefully she lives up to the hype.

You didn't watch Missouri State. He did a pretty amazing job with the post players they got. Yeah, I know they're a mid and probably below your level of interest.

Look for a bunch of transfers out of LSU. Mark my words.

This is flipping huge from a player development standpoint. |
Indeed. I always think of Mr. Starkey as one of the most unhearalded-but-significant assistants in the game. |
And a GREAT guy. This is an awesome hire for Auburn.

So much for Campbell being picky. Sac St. finished 3-22 last year so he has a lot of work to do but there's no place to go but up. If he does well, he has a better chance at a good head coaching position since he'd have already proven himself.

This really puzzles me a bit.....he'll certainly be missed, and I have no doubt Kelly & Co. are supporting this decision, but....I certainly hope he doesn't get *lost* there. Sacto St. certainly oughtta improve!

There are already 5 players in the transfers portal (before Nikki announced she was leaving) and 5 others that are seniors not in the portal, but I’ve also not heard of any returning, so that is already 10 players, how many more players do you see transferring and what do you consider “a bunch”? There roster online list 17 players, 10 are already accounted for (listed above) so there are only 7 more, do you think the other 7 or most of the other 7 will also transfer?

Hornet Gym. Sac St's home court since 1955.

LOL Mark you're so much better than that.
It's like when Nicole Powell left Oregon for some random school.

Why do you speak as if he was forced to take this position. I don’t know what he was looking for in a university, and while Sacramento State doesn’t come with the prestige of some other universities, it could fulfill what he was looking for. Unless you know some other information that he would be jobless if he didn’t take this and he needed this job, why can’t it be a job he wants and fits what he desires at this moment in time.
