Woah, baby. This one has some pace. I hope Iowa can make a game of it because this is fun to watch. Maryland is pretty good defensively and that's not something you can about the Terps usually.

Diamond Miller and Katie Benzian are on fire, 30-12 Terps.

Clark has 9, on three 3's

Wow! I just sat down with my lunch and turned it on. Maryland is already up 32-12 with two minutes left in the first quarter!

End of 1: Maryland leads 41-21

Maryland is 8-9 from 3 and they have 0 turnovers.

Iowa hasn't hit a 2 yet and they have 8 turnovers.

This three point shooting contest between Clark and Benzan is pretty fun.

56-35 Maryland; midway through the second and I've decided this isn't the Maryland defense, Iowa just turns the ball over too much.

Maryland is 10-13 from 3 and Iowa is 9-15. Clark already has 20. She is just so good.

Maryland 68 - Iowa 51 Half

This is just a dazzling display of offense on both sides. As a WBB fan who doesn't have a dog in this race, this is fun. I want Clark to hit 50.

Each team can't guard a chair, but oh well.

Maryland is 12-16 from 3.

Benzan - 24. She is 8-9 from 3! Hahahahaha
Awusu - 15
Miller - 14

Clark leads Iowa w/ 29.

Wowza

I have a slightly vested interest as Michigan plays at Iowa on Thursday in 50 hours. Tire Clark out! Wink

I'm pretty sure you can't tire her out, honestly. She just flies around the court. I've got to watch her play at some point. She reminds me of Jackie Stiles a bit, just a bit bigger.

The highest scoring game of the season also involved Maryland. The Terps outscored Arkansas 115-96. In that game Maryland scored 41 points in the 3rd quarter and hit 16 3s.

Clark has already rested more in this game than the last one (where Iowa had a 16 point lead against PSU).

I was just wondering if the Terps might hit 120 today....

Impressive shooting by both teams, but what really wowed me most was the 12 assists by Owusu (to go along with her 24 points).

Can someone check on Debbie Antonelli Laughing

Clark is the real deal, man this might be the biggest ND recruiting loss ever!

Reese is already back Shocked

Now wonder Taylor Mikesell hit the road. She saw the writing on the wall with Benzan Laughing

I was just thinking that, re: Clark and Notre Dame. If Bluder could get an athletic wing and a post player, both with W potential, Clark could lead them to the promise land. I don't know if they could ever beat SC, Oregon, Stanford, or UCONN in the NCAA tournament in the next four years, but man, they could sure scare them.

A USA backcourt of Clark and Buckers will be fun in 2028 & 2032.

that was my first thought when I saw the score! Poor Debbie, she got stuck on the West Coast doing the low scoring Stanford-Arizona game.

All of Caitlin Clark’s nine made 3s from this game. And holy smokes: not only were they all shot from behind the men’s line, but some of them were shot from where people like Steph Curry shoots. Shocked An incredibly rare talent she is!

The under 19 USA first team last year that won the Gold consisted of:

Paige Buechers
Caitlan Clark
Boston
Howard
Forget the other one

Most likely first team All Americans this year.

She has a beautiful shot. I look forward to watching her in a game sometime. Hopefully Iowa can pick up a few pieces and be competitive nationally in the next three years.

Current major pet peeve in basketball: not calling traveling when a (three-point) shooter clearly takes three steps before shooting. Clark's second, fourth, and seventh threes are clear travels. This happens extensively in the NBA, made very popular by James Harden, and I am not pleased that acceptance of it has transferred to all levels. Mad I find it shameful that announcers don't point it out, either.

Actually Caitlyn Clark was not a starter. Naz Hillmon and Hailey Von Lith were the other 2 starters.
