These are the pivotal games for JMU. For the first time since the Delle Donne days, Delaware leads the CAA. The Blue Hens are currently 16-3 overall and 13-1 in CAA play. JMU is buoyed by the sudden emergence of freshman Claire Neff, but injured ROY contender Peyton McDaniel is still iffy.

Delaware pulls out the win in OT, 94-88.

Unless some games are made up Delaware has now clinched the Colonial regular season title.

It was a loss, but not a bad loss, just a hard one to swallow for the Dukes. I think most folks will agree that this has been one effed-up year.

The Dukes took the Blue Hens to OT before losing in a high-scoring game. Rayne Tucker had a career-high 26 points for JMU and added in 10 rebounds, Kiki Jefferson scored 20, and the rest of the team distributed the scoring pretty evenly. Delaware got much of their output from two players, Jasmine Dickey with 30 and Jewel Smalls with 24. And for once, it was one of those games where the referees didn't call every little thing....only 37 fouls were called in the entire game! For this one time, maybe the ACC didn't send their trainees.

In the second game, the Dukes held Jasmine Dickey to just 19 points, guarding her much more effectively (thanks in part to Jaylin Carodine's long arms!), and figuring out Delaware's defense a little better to win, 65-62. Not that it wasn't a hard-fought game! Rayne Tucker had 22 points and 7 rebounds for JMU. Kiki Jefferson added 15. Nobody else was in double figures for the Dukes.
