entertaining first quarter...but VERY low scoring. Baylor 12-8.
Ursin with a beautiful jump shot.

halftime 33-17 Baylor
Fun to watch DiDi. How I wish she could shoot. She has 8 assists at half!

Texas looks awful. A-W-F-U-L. What's your general timeline (i.e., after ___ years) to evaluate a coach in their new job?

Texas and Collier are are painfully ineffective. I can't take watching this game anymore.
The only team that looks really good to me so far this season when hitting on all of their so many cylinders is Stanford, but they don't consistently hit on enough cylinders either. |

Texas will play Baylor at least once more on March 1st, (and maybe again after that in the Big 12 tourney?), so I doubt Schaefer was playing all his cards in this first matchup. Presumably the Longhorns' strategy for this game was "play your game and see what happens", and now they ought to know it ain't nearly enough. I think in the next matchup(s), we'll see Collier be much more of a 3PT shooter, since Texas' most obvious flaw is a lack of a real outside shooting threat from the perimeter players.

Also, it is a travesty for women's basketball when nationally televised games turn out like this. If we ardent women's basketball fans can't bring ourselves to watch because of the quality of play, how harmful it is to the perception of the general public?

I generally agree.
I can't remember when the best teams were this bad. It really really REALLY is a down year.

yeah, it's definitely a down year, but especially for the B12. Neither of these teams have beaten anybody outside their own conference!
