Wow - UMCC(Stewart, Quigley, Vandersloot, etc) shot 2 for 19 from three and still won by 27 over Dynamo K's (Arike's Mavunga's) team.

Final 78-51.

Han is slacking off. 28 pts (13-18 72.2%) in 34:06 looks pretty inefficient compared to her previous game of 20 pts (10-11 90.9%) in 12:29. Smile

Israel, which had not had to change any games all season long since delaying their start, manages to get all of them in even though they were not on the originally scheduled days:
http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2021/01/israeli-league-round-7-january-3rd-5th/

Spain, which was finally about to get everyone back on equal footing then had doubts about a bunch of games and had to postpone a few:

Does anyone know why Martha Xargay is not playing? She signed back with Girona right? Is she injured?

I don't know if there are English language articles, but mentally she did not feel like playing anymore and is de facto retired.

Spain--LF Endesa
Todays game between Avenida and Sedis Basket has been cancelled. Sedis played Valencia on the weekend and Valencia now has some(3) positives. So out of precaution, they cancelled the game. Avenida had a 12 hour bus ride to get to Cadi La Seu, and now returns home.

Other than the travel, not a bad idea to cancel, as Avenida has 2 starters, Marica Gajic and Tiff Hayes out with injuries and next week they play 4 games in 7 days in Euroleague. The good news is the games are in Spain.

News release from Sedis

We have already lost Umea from next week's EuroCup mini-tournaments. We will see if anyone else fails to make it to the single sites.

awhom111, apologies because I know this is about the 100th time I've asked some variant of this question, but what is the official FIBA rule about what level you have to play for a country before that's locked in as your nationality? Just wondering if Lauren Betts is already lost to us...

She has not appeared for the United States since turning 17 so she can still switch with USA Basketball approval and not much of an administrative headache. That said, this would probably be an easy case for allowing her to switch even if she plays for more USA youth teams. Hannah Jump and Karlie should probably start putting the full court press on her now though.

Thanks. And yeah, I'm not holding out too much hope given how highly rated she is as a prospect, and considering she's already been part of the USA Basketball system. But you never know. Her dad played a bunch of times for the GB men's team, so there are obvious connections.
