Another less than spectacular outing for Louisville. Is this truly the #2 team in the country?

No. Only a few calls that went their way and Virginia Tech getting tight at the end kept the Cards undefeated.

Man-
I've seen a ton of games this season, and it's to be expected because of Covid pauses, cancelled games, and the like, that have just been abysmal at the end.
This was one of them. Virginia Tech just didn't handle the end of this game well.
Indiana was bad at the end against Maryland. Michigan State wasn't stellar against Maryland last night, either. That UCLA/Oregon game was a disaster last two minutes.
It'll be fun to see how much teams improve over the course of the season. In my heart(and I have a friend who works for the CDC that told me....ha), I think we are going through the absolute worst of Covid right now and will be through January. Then, hopefully things start to subside after the push that was because of the holidays and as more are vaccinated. Then hopefully, there will be more fluidity to the schedules. Maybe I'm just forever the optimist, I don't know.

The vaccination rate is about to go warp speed, but I think it will be late February before we see the significant drops in rate of COVID infection and death. In time for March Madness.
