Dream on Howee. And a [sort-of almost friendly] f u!

Our studette defender Willson is gonna shut down Paopao (welcome to the big leagues youngster) which will throw everything into chaos. Just hoping 1) Brink is back and 2) I was hoping we would actually have the game at home in Maples...but no:

Quote:
Stanford's next game against Oregon on Friday, Jan. 8, will take place in Santa Cruz, California, at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors' G-League affiliate. Tipoff has been moved to 11:30 a.m. The Cardinal relocated its training and competitions beginning in early December, after the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's Nov. 28 emergency directive.

Additionally, the Cardinal's Jan. 10 game against Oregon State has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 testing and contact tracing protocols within the Beavers' program.

The Cardinal's trip to Washington has also been altered, as Stanford will flip the order of its Washington/Washington State weekend series, while adding a game against the Cougars in Pullman, making up for a postponement from December.

Darling Myrtlicious. I DO understand that *hope*. You're entitled. Razz

"Chaos" is not an option. Miss Anna will learn what The Future (a.k.a., Miss Six-Shooter PowPow) can/will do. And we all know Boley & Mikesell are overdue to explode from the arc. Chavez returns? Who knows? Maybe Miss Prince will have an *Epiphanny* sort of recovery, and come back in time to swat the snot outta them danged Hull wenches that always seem to shine vs. Ducks.

We both know by now that hosting Kelly is Tara's Achilles heel....who knows? Maybe it's his studly "Mr Clean" look that sets off her heart palpitations in green and gold fireworks, disabling her coaching acumen for just long enough to lose.

But you just keep hoping. Cool

Week 3 included only 13 games due to schedule changes and cancellations. Texas (over Iowa St) and Oregon (over UCLA) were the only unanimous selections. The Longhorns won and Oregon lost. Pilight was the only player to correctly choose San Diego over San Francisco and Pureform was the only player to correctly pick Notre Dame over Miami. Pureform (9/13) and Howee (8/13) again led the pack.

Am I a terrible person for thinking an equally entertaining game would be looking at the schedule and guessing which games will be called off?

This week's games were the most difficult to choose of any week since I have been doing this. Trying to find games that would be competitive and meaningful (and also would be played.) Please note there are several conferences that are playing back to back games between the same two teams.
In those instances the game to be counted is the one played on the day listed. If for some reason the game is not played on that date the game to be counted will be the first played AFTER the day listed.

And while I try not to make political statements on this thread it just seems appropriate after the despicable events in Washington DC yesterday that the first game on the slate reminds those of old enough of the shame from 50 years and 8 months ago (4 dead in Ohio).

1/13 Ohio St - Iowa

It looks like we lost 5 games this week. Colorado-USC was postponed until tomorrow pushing it outside of this week's time frame. The other games were Georgetown-Providence, Connecticut-Baylor, Arizona St-Washington St and Arizona St-Washington.

Week 4 included only 15 games due to schedule changes and cancellations. The only unanimous selection was Ball St who beat Toledo. Myrtle won the week by picking 11 games correctly, including being the only one to take Valparaiso over Northern Iowa (even though Northern Iowa came back to win the next day.) That performance moved Myrtle into a second place tie overall thanks to Howee stubbornly picking the Ducks over the Trees. Pureform had a tough week but maintained a 3 game lead overall.

It looks like 4 games have been postponed for this week's games (so far.) I have still picked the games just in case either my sources are incorrect or the games get rescheduled within the week.

A quick update on Week 5. Through 10 games the crew has not done well. Four games have been postponed and of the 6 played no one has more than 2 right.

And with MY 0-fer today, Myrtlicious, you (who glibly pronounced my 3 game lead over you as 'insurmountable') have now taken a lead over me, with that nonsensicle fluke of South Alabama over Appy St. Evil or Very Mad

The ironic thing is that I picked them because I thought their mascot was the blazers...but that turns out to be UAB. Never fear though, the way the ball is bouncing, you will have plenty of opportunity to overtake me once again.

I'm glad to see you are making such thorough considerations. But it does make sense that a Jaguar could beat a Mountaineer.
