Guess it wasn't too hard for the authorities to figure our who the 6-5 blond at the protest was. Hope she can get out. Very sad.

Hopefully her story continues to gain traction. It looks like it’s starting to among players. Maybe it will help shine a light on what’s going on in Belarus.

If that is the ultimate sentence, while unjust, at least she would be getting out pretty soon. Often there is no time limit on sentences of this sort in various parts of the world.

It’s just the date until her trial, from what I’ve read. “Trial.” I hope the best for her, she’ll need it.

In addition to Ticha, current player Emma Meeseman, and former WNBA players Lindsay Harding, Sandrine Gruda, Kim Mestdagh, Ruth Hamblin, Ebony Hoffman, and former WNBA coach Carol Ross have also chimed in.

She has been released

Quote:
Elena Leuchanka is free! She has spoken of awful prison conditions:
- has slept on cold metal beams without bedding for 13 days;
- no shower for 14 days;
- not allowed to go to the normal toilet for 5 days, cell toilet doesn’t flush;
- has a lice infestation.

Yes. She played 51 games for Atlanta and only 6 for Washington. She actually also played 4 games for the Charlotte Sting in 2006.
