It looks like [Cierra Burdick] played for the Liberty in 2017. Another player Laimbeer is familiar with. |
She was also in the Aces' training camp a year later in 2018.
So I assume one of Cambage and Plum got officially 'de-activated' from the active roster (still would get paid) and the Aces had enough money to sign a rest-of-season replacement player? Or is one of the Aces' players out for tonight's game & beyond, making Burdick a hardship player? Hopefully it's just the former.

And Lindsey Allen is out per an "inconclusive test" and will be placed in immediate quarantine. The test is not infallible so this does not necessarily mean anything. However, @alexaphilippou points out that per protocol, it is treated as a positive test and Allen is isolating off campus. She must have two consecutive negative test results >24 hours apart and be cleared by a doc before her return.

I’m skeptical of this. Not seeing game on app.

Soft friendly rims in this game, lots of Mercury shots rolling/bouncing in.

Phoenix, more so than maybe every other team in the WNBA, is uniquely constructed to make Vegas pay for their refusal/inability to hit outside shots.

I hope you're right, but looking good in the first half does not translate to wins nearly as regularly as it should with the Mercury these days.

What a difference playing with aggressiveness and energy makes. Skylar finally looking for shots. All of Sophie’s baskets have came from beating everyone else down the floor. Diana being Diana. Hartley is smartly being used alongside the starters and second unit. If this type of energy can be replicated consistently, this team will be a factor.

Griner needs to stop fading away on her shots

And, as a counter to that, these last few minutes have done a great job of illustrating how effective Griner is at zeroizing Vegas' interior offense, and how ineffective the rest of Phoenix's frontcourt is.

I've seen Angel blow up in the second half too many times to think this is remotely over

I was about to respond, but you beat me to it. Aj'a and Angel just might be enough to beat them. |
She's going to have to do a little better than 3-10.

Seeing Diana play like Diana makes me so happy. BG still doesn’t seem totally locked in. I’m feeling much better about the team after tonight. |
