Sylvia Fowles, the WNBA's All Time leading rebounder!

Fowles is the 4th player to hold the All Time rebounding title. Lisa Leslie, Tamika Catchings, and Rebekkah Brunson held it previously.

That was the date Leslie became the league's all time leading rebounder

Who could catch her? We can be pretty sure it won't be Griner of Cambage. McCowan? (#15 Indiana)

Who could catch her? Jones or Wilson, maybe even Billings. Who will catch her? Probably somebody not in the league yet.

Tina Charles

My hot take is that Charles is going to end up retiring before Gojira, so I don't think that catching her is possible.

I'm still unclear because of the early date. At one point, the person who got the first rebound in the first WNBA game would in a sense have been league's all-time leading rebounder, a title which may not have lasted long. At the end of that first game, there may have been someone else with the title. Was that Leslie with 14? And then no one ever passed her total until Catchings in 2016?

Who was the last player, before today, that you didn't give a nickname for one of these?

It was Leslie, and she held that honor until Catchings passed her

Yes. 6/21/97 was Leslie's first career game, at that point her 14 rebounds were a league-high, and she never looked back.
