Jamierra Faulkner calls it quits

So... the past few months have been crazy for me but the past few days were even crazier. After being evaluated, my doctor suggest I call it quits for basketball. My right knee never fully recovered and it sucks but I can’t even walk around my house w/o something happening. Somethings we wish never happened and some things just happen. When things happen you have to adapt and adjust, which is exactly what I’ll be doing. Life w/o basketball will be extremely weird but it’s life. Of course I’ll never stop working out, that’s just me. But much love to all my athletes! Take care of your health and good luck!

Such a shame but expected. It really appeared like she was going to have solid career in the W during her last full season(2016).

Crying or Very sad

Yep, so much potential. One of the few third rounders to stick. Sloot got hurt and Faulkner stepped in during her rookie season. Got 27 points in her first start, against the Sparks in LA 6/1/2014.

Dang...only VanderQuig remain from the Sky's 2014 roster! Some got out of town and the others aren't even in the league anymore!

Very good read. As a black man, it hurt though. I’m sitting here literally holding back tears because I’ve been there. And everything that was written was so true.

Sydney Colson is in the wubble. According to James Wade, she might be available for their next game on Tuesday.

So that means we have to say goodbye to Johnson. Stella! STELLA!

Sadly, yes. Maybe the Liberty pick up Johnson once she's waived?

I mean after all, Johnson's proven to be such a useful piece during all the minutes she's been getting with Chicago. A team that essentially has no other backup point guard.

I knew Gabby Williams would again be the default backup PG with Colson out. Johnson was basically a player signed so they could do 5-on-5 in practices. I'd think with New York, she'd get some playing time backing up Clarendon.

We need a cheering squad from the bench. Very Happy

Colson is at the Sky's practice today. Interesting to note that Stella Johnson is also at practice as well. If Dolson is going to be out longer than expected, it's possible that they're able to keep Johnson there.

I usually don't do this but I'm going to do it now. I would love to see a starting lineup of Parker, Stevens, DeSheilds, Copper, and Sloot. This lineup has the best combination of athleticism and skills. It's something that I call the Boom and Pow. Very Happy

I figured since Dolson has been activated for tonight's game. She'll remain in the Wubble, but I doubt anyone picks her up.
