Wonder if we’ll see Herbert Harrigan for the Lynx and Tuck for the Storm.
(Well, assuming we want to see that. Razz )

Klopp will probably be salivating at the sight of tiny Dangerfield. Didn’t Seattle trap all night against Ionescu?

They faced each other in 2017. Dangerfield had the more efficient game while Canada simply did more -- both good and bad.

Dangerfield 40 min, 17 pts (FG 5-9/3pt 3-4/FT 4-4), 4 assists, 3 TO, 1 reb, 0 steal, 0 PF
Canada 40 min, 15 pts (FG 5-16/3pt 3-8/FT 2-2), 4 assists, 4 TO, 6 reb, 5 steals, 3 PF

Of course, Crystal played with 5 future WNBA players (Nurse, Collier, Stevens, Gabby Williams, Walker), whereas Jordin only played with 3 (Billings, Burke, and probably Onyenwere).

Assuming they're both still the same player they were 3 years ago is a stretch though ?

I'm assuming both have improved. There's no basis to believe one improved more than the other. You can argue that Canada has been playing against pro's, but when they faced off in 2017 Dangerfield was a mere sophomore arguably outplaying a senior. There's evidence that Crystal plays above her experience level.

Seattle put A.Clark on Ionescu. Don't think they will do that for Dangerfield.

Against NY, Klop probably game planned around stopping Ionescu and Nurse. Once Kia got injured, it was 100% on Sabrina. That's why Clarendon was able to have a good game. Against Minnesota, he'll be focused on stopping Fowles and Collier. I doubt he's worried about Dangerfield.

isn't reeve making it sound like the first game has no bearing on dangerfields minutes going forward? it still sounds like she's going with johnson, brown and banham then danger...

i take it as if any of those 3 players before her are playing good, dangerfield will have to 'wait her turn'

Trapping is done by two defensive players to rattle often-times a rookie PG in hopes of creating a turnover. Miller didn’t really test Dangerfield but I expect Seattle might.

Will Fowles become the all-time leading rebounder in the WNBA during tonight’s game? She needs 6 to tie, 7 to reach first place.

Now Sue Bird is a PG I like seeing play the 2. Very Happy

Weird how the Ron Thulin/Carolyn Peck broadcasts have a slight delay from video to audio...

We have a Tuck sighting. Neutral

Oh no, Christmas-Kelly... Crying or Very sad

Non contact injury for KCK. doesn’t look good.

Oh no. KCK down with a non-contact knee? injury Sad

[updated] Apparently it's her ankle. Hopefully that's good news and not code for an achilles tear

Kia Nurse pretty much had the same reaction when she hurt hers - in tears, couldn't walk off the court. Both looked painful.

If we want Tuck to show results, I think we should play her with more starters than not. I felt the same when we had KML - put her in a position to be successful by letting the starters grab the attention.

On the plus side, I know from personal experience that initial pain level doesn't always equate to severity of damage, so there's reason to hope that both players might not miss too much action. 🤞🤞

True dat. Let's hope they heal up soon!

Man, I've missed our arena announcer callin' Birdy's name after a made shot. Cool

41-35 SEA at the half
Fowles is now the WNBA all-time leader in rebounds.

Did they say anything about Whitcomb? I noticed she hasn't checked into the game yet.
