Strom is one of four players participating in the Sun's version of “The Apprentice”. She, along with former UConn star Maria Conlon and Valek, are vying for an opportunity to spend the summer backing up point guard Lindsay Whalen.

Jen Derevjanik, the fourth player in the mix, did not play Sunday. She had just returned to the team after playing in Lithuania during the offseason.

Strom and Conlon clearly played the best. Valek unimpressive at best. No drives to the basket, pulled up when she shouldn't have, turnovers, too.

Strom and Conlon both looked like they might have a shot over Jen D. as well, unless Jen D. shows improvement over last year.
