Seems like a silly thing to do right now but I have time to kill so here we go

1. NY Ionescu Duh
2. Dallas Cox seems like an Agler type broke man's LJ
3. Indy Sabally Indy lucks out at #3 again
4. Atl Carter with Angel gone Atl needs a new play to get hated on
5. Dallas Walker nice fit between Arike and Lauren for the future
6. Minn Harris Reeves likes those players she meets through team USA safe pick and fills a need
7. Dallas Hebard OMG Dallas can't believe it's draft so far
8. Chi Dangerfield replaces Faulkner Wade likes UConn and 3s
9. Dallas Cooper wow Dallas even gets a back up PG
10. PX Mompremier nice compliment to Turner upfront off the bench
11. Seattle Pivec can she displace KLM or Tuck has a shot
12. Wash Gillespie seems like another good pick for Mike T

13. NY Holmes hard choice here between Charles and Holmes went with size and potential (and I like her she'll turn it around)
14. Indy Charles Is Charles better than Burke, Laney or Vivians we'll see
15. Dallas Martin Dallas keeps getting great picks but is probably out of spots
16. Minn Alarie Someone had to fall for all the PGs in round 1 just enough question marks if she can translate Minny might have just had a great draft
17. Atl Herbert-Harrigan Atl needs one more post
18. PX Odom from here on out it is very unlikely anyone sticks
19. Sea Gorecki can she beat out Pivec and KML
20. LA Brewer has to beat Ulich and Tolo if she shows
21. Dallas Landrum more likely a draft and stash player but I don't know enough Int plyrs
22. LA Chen Mingling draft and stash
23. Conn Doyle
24. Wash Shook

25. Atl Laska
26. NY Yuan LI to pair with Han Xu in 2021

Spooner:

As a Dallas fan, I could not be more pleased with your Draft and hope it materializes. Very Happy

As an Indy fan I would love for the Fever to get Sabally. Second, Charles is maybe as good as they could hope, though in the (unlikely) event Alarie is available, I'd roll the dice with her.

I would be quite happy with Sabally or Cox. Can't lose with either, IMO.

I don't think they'll do it, but just hypothetically - if they cancelled the 2020 draft and season, and then next year's class joined the group we've been talking about all year for a 2020/21 Draft, who would be added to the first round conversation and how high would they break in?

Other than Carter, the only player I see maybe cracking the 1st Round right now would be Natasha Mack. I'd say bottom of the round. Obviously, things can change if any of these players have big senior years. There are people high on McDonald, Slocum, Dungee, Evans, and as we've seen one writer likes Guirantes. I don't know anything about foreign players like Awak Kuier. All I've seen is videos of her dunking, but there are a good number of players these days who can dunk. That's not the same as having pro skills.

I think canceling the 2020 draft won't happen. Causing two draft classes into one draft would cause a domino effect.

The question also comes up is would they use the order of the 2020 draft? How do they incorporate the 2021 draft trades? But if it did, this is what I'd have(using the current 2020 order):

1. New York Liberty - S. Ionescu
2. Dallas Wings - S. Sabally
3. Indiana Fever - M. Onyenwere
4. Atlanta Dream - L. Cox
5. Dallas Wings - N. Mack
6. Minnesota Lynx - D. Evans
7. Dallas Wings - A. Kuier(Finland)
8. Chicago Sky - M. Walker
9. Dallas Wings - C. Carter
10. Phoenix Mercury - R. Hebard
11. Seattle Storm - R. Davis
12. Washington Mystics - T. Harris

13. New York Liberty - B. Alarie
14. Indiana Fever - K. Gillespie
15. Dallas Wings - C. Dungee
16. Minnesota Lynx - B. Mompremier
17. Atlanta Dream - T. Mangakahia
18. Phoenix Mercury - T. Cooper
19. Seattle Storm - D. Slocum
20. Los Angeles Sparks - J. Holmes
21. Dallas Wings - I. Rupert(France)
22. Los Angeles Sparks - C. Dangerfield
23. Connecticut Sun - J. Willoughby
24. Washington Mystics - A. Scheid

Oops, I forgot about Rennia Davis. Embarassed Being 6-2 with guard skills, she could go 1st Round. She's another player who needs to shoot better from distance. Not sure where she goes, but it won't be lottery. Onyenwere is again an athletic wing who needs to improve her outside shot. At 6-0, I don't think scouts will be as forgiving.

Still no. You've got her behind Megan Walker, which will not ever happen.

I'm not saying that I disagree with you, but my question is to everyone who keeps bringing her name up is, why do the Wings NEED Cox vs what Satou brings to the table...which this team clearly lacks???

Besides her blocking ability, I just don't see what Cox brings to the table at the WNBA level that really stands out from what they already have on the roster!

Not in a million years whether drafts get merged or not would Carter fall behind anyone you have listed after #4.

Cox is a young version of Stef Dolson . We dont need her to score alot , just manage the paint & rebound and make great passes.

I like Dolson and I think that is damning with faint praise

I see Cox more as a poor man's version of LJ her defense and rebounding are WNBA ready and she has the skill offensively to post up, put the ball on the floor and eventually be able to score from all 3 tiers

Sabally is also great probably a slightly bigger but not as talented Maya Moore type

(Obviously I am using superstar comps so I am not saying either is as good as their comp, just trying to say how I view their game style-wise)

Sabally is more of a sure thing IMO but if Cox delivers on her potential I think she has a slightly higher ceiling

Dallas should take whoever they think is the best fit now and into the future, Dallas has a ton of picks and no one on Dallas' roster is good enough IMO that drafting based on position matters at all

Harrison and Ndour are the only posts on the roster who've proven the slightest thing at WNBA level, so Cox just being generally servicably good would stand out from most of the roster.

That said, I expect Sabally to be the pick.

Thanks Richie! U saved me the time from going to look at Dallas' roster. Besides the two you named Cox would definitely be an upgrade, but I also believe Sabally will be the selection.

1. NY- Ionescu
2. DAL- Sabally
3. IND- Cox
4. ATL- Carter
5. DAL- Walker
6. MINN- Harris
7. DAL- Hebard
8. CHI- Mompremier
9. DAL- Cooper
10. PHX- Dangerfield
11. SEA- Alarie
12. WAS- Gillespie

Chicago has been an above average team with their offensive execution for years. What Chicago needs is a player than has above average defensive skills.

Still is Gabby. I was referring specifically to the post position.

Sabally better than Cox in almost every way. She wasn't playing her best bball toward the end of the season though, so one could wonder about that. And Cox's health issues will likely continue to hamper her, just as EDD's do. If she could do what EDD does when healthy, that would be another matter. I just don't see it. Still, the choices seem kinda limited.

I'm just selfishly hoping the deadline to declare for the Draft doesn't change, even if the Draft itself gets postponed indefinitely. It'd be nice to be able to at the very least finalize my mock draft if nothing else of substance happens for a while (though all of us are pretty much just waiting on a potential announcement from specifically Chennedy Carter at this point).
