ACC has just announced that they are not allowing any school to play in any sport for the foreseeable future

Postponement seems unlikely, imo.

Yes, but when thinking about the men's tournament and the amount of money it generates for the NCAA and its' membership, it makes sense to at least examine if it is possible to maybe play it in a few weeks. My understanding is that is what is currently happening. They are having discussions with commissioners, athletic directors, coaches, player reps, facilities, etc to see if it is even feasible.

This is what I am hearing anyway. Who really knows? But, given the delay in an announcement, it does make sense.

There just seems no way to postpone, though. In 2-4 weeks, things will be worse.

This is such a drag for players like Sabrina, who came back this year to try to win a title for Oregon. For all the seniors, this is a heartbreaking end to their college careers.

South Carolina Gamecocks, 2020 regular-season national champions. NCAA should make it official, but hang the banner either way.

The SEC has done similar, but with a more clear conclusion: they will not play any sports through the rest of March. And then take it from there....

If whole seasons are being cancelled, will players still get scholarships, stipends, etc.?

What about another semester/season of eligibility?

Then what would you do with the kids that have been, or are being, recruited to replace the ones that should be leaving? You can only have so many on a team. For something like track and field it might not make much difference, but what about something where spots are limited, like baseball/softball?

I have no idea. It will be fascinating to see how these questions are answered in the coming weeks.

No tournament. This sucks. I feel really, really bad for the kids who worked so hard all year.
