Now that most of the free agency dust has settled (who knows about Tina Charles anymore), we fans aren't due to get a whole lot of action until the draft, which is now about 50 days away (Friday April 17). So, I'm curious as to who you think as of right now will win it all in 2020. It could be the same team you're thinking will finish 1st in the regular season; or it could be another team. You could also factor in your predicted 2020 Draft results in choosing a team if you'd like.

This and the other poll are just meant to be "snapshot" polls; Don't feel that your choice here will be set in stone as your "actual choice". We know that more dominoes will be falling soon enough...

Just a 10-Day Poll.

I'm going with the current champs, the Mystics. My way too early predictions:

1. Washington
2. Seattle
3. Las Vegas
4. Los Angeles
5. Chicago
6. Phoenix
7. Atlanta
8. Connecticut
9. Indiana
10. New York
11. Minnesota
12. Dallas

Here is why they won't win it all :

1. Washington - not enough superstars. Only won last year because of the real stars were not playing.

2. Seattle - Bird is too old. Old ladies work on Team USA, not the W.

3. Las Vegas - too much time getting psych evals, not enough time practicing.
4. Los Angeles - they don't give a crap. Parker is too old.
5. Chicago - Someone posted Sky will never win a ship with Dolson at the 5
6. Phoenix - see LA and Taurasi is too old. Overpaid Hartley.
7. Atlanta - You got to be kidding - the WNBA will never let a team playing in g-league arena win it all.
8. Connecticut - They are just a bunch of role players and lost their best player.
9. Indiana - too young (except for Dupree - who is too old.)
10. New York - Sabrina is overrated. Charles is burned out (or gets traded for a 2nd round draft pick). Brittany Boyd will get Sabrina's minutes.
11. Minnesota - their time in the sun has passed.
12. Dallas - they suck.

That not having enough superstars reason dog wont hunt. A championship is won as a team not individual superstars. I guess those who don't want to give the Mystics credit for winning the 2019 WNBA Championship have amnesia that the Mystics played the 2018 Championship Series without Emma and Elena was playing injured during the series. The Mystics have enough fire power to repeat without Toliver.

The Storm are going to win it all because they have the GOAT and Reeve Reject (because why try to win a 5th title when you can lose in the 1st round of the playoffs instead), Natasha Howard, who is going to end up leading the Storm to end up with more titles than the Lynx, so no point in having these polls, unless, hopefully, I just created a reverse jinx. I want to know who picked Atlanta and what their reason was? Or perhaps their finger just slipped... Confused

Don't look at me. I'm not an impossible homer. Laughing And besides, I don't think any team is going to win it all, and I'll right on 11 of them.

Went with Las Vegas should Cambage return and Laimbeer employ the proper disciplinary control with Lori Ann and Lori Ann comply and play team ball throughout the season and playoffs.

Out of all the possible contenders, I still went with the Storm. Surprised I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's basically the same 2018 team but with an improved Russell... and an older Sue Bird. Stewie's health is a question mark but so is essentially swapping KML for Tuck as well as whatever Magbegor will bring. Overall, since we traded KML away, I'm back to not counting us out! Very Happy

My predicted standings as of now:
1. Seattle
2. Washington
3. Los Angeles
4. Las Vegas
5. Chicago
6. Connecticut
7. Phoenix
8. Atlanta
9. Dallas
10. New York
11. Indiana
12. Minnesota

Which will be counterbalanced by a much improved and 3-rd year Jordin Canada.

Pre-Draft:

1. Seattle - Will have possibly the best First 8 in the history of the league.
2. Washington - As good as last year, the Storm will just be better.
3. Las Vegas - Cambage’s decision could move this In either direction.
4. Los Angeles - If everyone’s on the same page they will be tough to stop.
5. Connecticut - Great chemistry. It enough offense to win the Ship.
6. Chicago - Great chemistry. Not enough defense to win the Ship.
7. Phoenix - If Diana can score 12-14 they will be dangerous.
8. Indiana - Young but talented and deep.
9. Minnesota - Lost both of their starting guards.
10. New York - Charles is the biggest ? for me right now. Solid guards.
11. Dallas - Jefferson needs to be 100% and Ndour needs to produce in the paint for this team to compete.
12. Atlanta - I expect drama.
