I think I cured Lauren Manis' slump. Today's stats:

10-18 FG 1-3 3pt 11-13 FT 16 Reb 1 Ast 2 Stl 32 pts I would even take the 5 TO.

we squeaked this week out with Pivec giving us just enough. There were 4 categories in play and she beat us in steals and rebounds, but her 0-2 from three and six TOs were just enough for us. I really didn't think TOs would be in play. That's probably the worst she's been all year in that category. So that was an unexpected 1/2 point.

geezooey, one more week and we'll be through with this crazy game. I can't believe after our 0-5, or something like that start, that we'd be amongst the leaders now. This game seems pretty masochistic to me. Not sure I'll do it again. But I do like that it makes us look at players and games from 'other' leagues than the ones we're most familiar with...

Miss Myrtle has communicated with me via personal e-mail to relate the following: She says Thanks to All, and that there is no further need to post more lineups. She said the game is now over.

She's having trouble accessing Rebs at the moment (is what she SAID....) I personally think she got banned for her impertinent nature and harassment of me, and deservedly so.

Now, I know many of you might think I'm given to a facetious nature, and outright fictitious at times here at Rebs; you are not mistaken, but I do promise on my duckling's very head that this is accurate info passed on by me from Myrtle's instruction.
('cept the 'banned' part) Razz

And a big thank you and congratulations to Myrtle. Your mid-season pick-ups were impressive. I was done in by week 9 when I was in Macau and lost 2 games, but in truth I was clearly not as good a team as you or Matt.

The game was fun and I look forward to playing again next year if you are willing to run it again. I also hope we can do this for the WNBA and I would be willing to help with the statistics.

Thanks also to all the players for making this a fun time.

Well, my team finished strong, winning 9 of the last 10 games. That one we lost though...seems it was to a team that won it's last 9 in a row Shocked

Congrats to myrtle. In the end, too good - as expected Laughing

Apparently we will have to think up some even crazier rules for next time!

Yay! I'm back. Thanks to Luuuc for getting me re-instated. I made the mistake of changing my profile e-mail address. This site uses pretty old technology and apparently changing your email makes you an illegal alien. I strongly recommend you never do that unless you absolutely have to...and before you do, contact Luuuc so when you get locked out he can do his magic. Otherwise I think you just have to make a new profile as a new user, like some people we know. Wink

Anyway, thanks again y'all. It was fun in a tortuous kind of way. I do have to say my comeback from last to first was pretty amazing. I think Matt really shares 1st place with his awesome +/- score. His players were really blazing away the past several weeks. Ayoka Lee turned out to be a superstud for him.

It required a lot more hands on then I expected, but Matt set it all up really nicely and I appreciated the week that Coyote did the stats. And it was nice that for the most part everyone got legal lineups in on time. Maybe someone else will want to coordinate it next time?
