Ndour in a sign & trade to Dallas. Chicago is getting the #9 pick.

I saw "for a pick"; I saw no one specify #9. Also, maybe the reason that this is all rumour and talk rather than official confirmation is that after an RFA offer sheet is matched, the player has to consent to any trade. And maybe she hasn't?

It was boring up to that point. The last few days have made up for it. This may be the only year like this for a long time - the cap increase created a lot of cap space that is being used up and may not be around in the years to come.

It’s official! SDS to The Mercury! Exclamation

The Mercury sent the 2020 fifth pick, 2020 seventh pick (via Seattle) and a future first round pick to Dallas. Shocked

So does Charles remain in New York? What's Agler going to do with four rookies?

What the hell is going on. Two players traded for THREE first round picks. Is the draft that weak this year or is the new CBA making some teams a little reckless?

I thought that deal was completed yesterday, before they had that pick.

The draft is quite top-heavy. Even if the two juniors come out (Carter and Sabally), any pick out of the lottery is going to be a pretty serious crap shoot.

To me it seems more like saving face than getting a good deal ...

If an elite player wants to leave, she's gonna leave -- and you try to get the most you can for her, given the fact everyone knows she wants to be gone.

So you take some draft picks, even knowing the odds of them amounting to much are small, and talk about how "the future of the franchise is now solid."

Mike Thibault did an excellent job signing Leilani Mitchell which takes out some of the sting losing Kristi Toliver to the Sparks. Sorry to see you leave Kristi but welcome back Leilani.

It's nickname the Brigade and Aussie 's toss for Leilani Mitchell. I forgot what the initials stand for but I'm sure somebody on this board will point it out.
