Is the extent of the Jones injury still a closely-guarded secret?

the word I hear is that it's not ACL/MCL but more like sprain or bone bruise type injury (still not totally clear)...and that it's unclear when she'll be back, but at least it doesn't sound like a season ender.

....and why did the Hull gerlz commit 3 fouls in the final seconds, when Stanford had the lead?? |
Colorado wasn't in the bonus yet, and there were less than 20 seconds left, so fouling on the floor interrupted Colorado's play, forcing them to take it out of bounds again and start over with less time.
I thought they fouled too quickly, though, not making CO use enough time before each foul.

Well, I know the strategy in general, but....don't you do that when you're down? Stanford was UP at that point. |
Both. When you're down to stop the clock and eventually get'em to the FT line and hope they miss -- which is what you are familiar with. When you're up, to possibly get a steal or disrupt play and as CompSci said, make them waste time inbounding and finding an opening, while avoiding the opponent going to the FT line. This latter strategy makes sense when there are only a few ticks left on the clock.
