Wisconsin’s start is familiar. Can the end be different?

I didn't realize that Wisconsin hadn't been to ANY post-season since 2011. That warranted a look deeper.

In the last 25 years:
Jane Albright went to the NCAAs in 95, 96, 98, 01 and 02 and WNIT in 99 (lost in the final by 1) and won the WNIT in 2000. Albright had one crappy season and got fired after going 7-21 in 02-03. Attendance averaged over 7K a game with her at the helm.

Lisa Stone had five consecutive WNIT teams, 07-11.

Goose eggs for Bobbie Kelsey and Jonathan Tpsis. Attendance has dropped to under 4k a game.

Hindsight is 20/20.

The B1G continues to do a little rankings dance. Indiana continues to climb in the AP, and Maryland continues to fall.

Michigan (back in) keeps teetering in and out of the T-25 with Minnesota (back out), and Northwestern, Rutgers, Iowa and Nebraska are lurking in the R/V area.

I doubt that we'll see B1G teams near the Final Four, but the conference is sure solid teams 1 - 11.

Coach Lindsey Whalen suspended leading scorer Destiny Pitts for conduct unbecoming of a member of the team prior to the gophers game against the Illini. Two other team members did not travel to Champaign, sisters Taiye and Kihinde Bellos but The reason for their absence hasn't been stated. Taiye is leading rebounder on the team. The Goohers lost the matchup.

Kent Youngblood just tweeted that the Bellos are back with the team, but that Pitts is still suspended. However, he did say that the Bellos’ status for the Iowa game remains unclear.

10 of the conference’s 14 teams remain in the top 70 of the NCAA RPI, with the Hawkeyes leading the pack at No. 5.

Wisconsin does something like this. I remember Bobbie Kelsey getting a similar year added onto a contract that wasn't ending. I don't understand the practice. In Kelsey's case, I don't think she made it to the date of the extension, so maybe Whalen can be removed before the 2023-2024 season without too much pain if things go sour.

Totally did not expect Joe Cools crew to be this good this year without Pallas Athena. This is the type of result I expected when he had Nia Coffey on the roster. They've got a really solid team with an all star tape player in Pulliam they could do some damage this spring.

Maryland has the tiebreaker for the Big Ten tournament.

Tough first year at Penn State for Carolyn Kieger who ended up in the basement of the Big. I wish her well - hope she can get things turned around there.
