Duke has been ugly for 12 years now. Without any top players they look even uglier. Get JPM out now so Duke can return to being a top tier team like they were when she was hired. Tonight was an accurate reflection of where Duke is. Nowhere. Duke is nowhere. There is ONE player signed for Duke next year. One.

Why does Duke not have high standards for their WBB team anymore? |
May have something to do with the positions of their University President and AD - just a guess. They could be putting more emphasis on other sports, like football, than they have in the past, or putting less on non-revenue sports or even sports overall, and more on academics, things like that....

McCallie did make four Elite Eights (2010-2013), which led to one big contract extension. But the last five years have seen a major drop-off. And even during the Elite Eight years, Duke had some ugly losses to elite teams.

The Gamecocks won 89-46 Thursday night, a massive 43-point margin of victory. The last time Duke lost by more than 40 points was also at the hands of Gamecock head coach Dawn Staley's team, back when she was a senior playing for Virginia in 1992.

| Duke looked just awful: stumbling, fumbling, falling down, throwing the ball into the stands or to the other team, driving into impossible traffic. In addition to whatever you want to say about JPM, the players too looked just bad. |

| It's completely sad to see what Duke WBB has degenerated to. Lord knows I'm no fan (never forgave them what the fans did to Alexis Hornbuckle), but to see a once proud program fall that far is beyond awful.
