Buffalo probably has a legitimate claim that Theresa Onwuka is having an All-American kind of season. Dyaisha Fair should also be in consideration for Freshman of the Year.

I’d also include the following:

Sara Rhine, Drake
Stella Johnson, Rider
A. Basallo, San Jose State

Is Sabally not included because of the game she missed for the German National Team?

I’d probably do the following:

1st Team

Ashely Joens, Iowa State (She’s having a phenomenal season)
Ruthy Hebard, Oregon
Sabrina Ionescu, Oregon
Mikayla Pivec, Oregon State
Megan Walker, UConn

2nd Team

Lexie Hull, Stanford
Sara Rhine, Drake
Ciara Duffy, South Dakota
Chennedy Carter, TAMU
Michaela Oyenwere, UCLA

3rd Team

Elissa Cunane, NC State
Ali Patberg, Indiana
Natasha Mack, Oklahoma State
Rhyne Howard, Kentucky
Aari McDonald, Arizona (what happened to her 3 point shooting?)

I have a hard time with Sabally. She should definitely be on the HM list, but the games she’s missed so far so make it tough to move her up.

I'd argue that you have to find a place for JMU's Kamiah Smalls, probably on the HM. She's having a super year already and is on the Ann Myers Drysdale Award watchlist.

I really like Natasha Mack. She had a 20-20 game against Oral Roberts last night and a 26-13 game against Oregon. Had Braxtin Miller stayed at Okie State to complement Vivi Gray on the wing the Stillwater Cowgirls would be an elite 8 team this year.

Lexie Hull is very good, but really she's only had a couple of very, very good games and has otherwise been mediocre...partially at least because Tara has so many guards she tries to get them all minutes. Even though I'm a homer, I don't think Hull should be above third team.

Jordan Horston and Fran Belibi should be candidates for the Freshman team.

Sabally didn’t make the list because she has played in >75% of her team’s games. If she is healthy for all of their PAC 12 season, I’m sure that will change.

I had a hard time placing Hull because, while you’re right that she statistically might not be, I have a hard time leaving the best player on the best team off the 1st team.

I also really Mack. She’s challenging Janelle Bailey as the top post prospect in 2021.

There are 100 players on those positional awards watchlists (20 at each position). This is a 25 player list, lots of those players aren’t here.

Mack had 25 points, 20 rebounds and 9 blocks Saturday in a win over Kansas.

Fixed! I'm so embarrased to make such a terrible mistake.
