I've tried to replace the lost avatar with a 240 x 240 pic a dozen times, but the "URL NOT VALID" rejection appears.
Help appreciated.

ok. I guess I'm not using a proper image location address.
I don't know how to find a photo, resize it, then post it here.

That's the problem. The antique software of the board doesn't recognize https: as a valid url. Use the same address with http: instead and it should work.

| Sometimes you have to download an internet picture to your computer and then upload it to a photo hosting site that this site recognizes. I've used Imgur many times. You can resize photos on websites for that purpose, or the photo hosting sites like Imgur can do it too. |

| I tried both Stever’s and pilight’s URL’s for myself, and they were both rejected as invalid. So I conclude it’s a system problem that cropped up.
