JMU pulls out a 46-43 victory in a very messy game against Central Florida in the Cavalier Classic. The Dukes are developing a bad habit of starting out behind and playing catchup. CFU managed to shut down Kamiah Smalls and Lexie Barrier but couldn't stop Jackie Benitez. Kayla Cooper-Williams had 16 rebounds.

I was expecting to see UNLV and St John's in the final, but they are playing a very competitive consolation game. UNLV Leads 45-42 midway through the 3rd qtr

Elon and IUPUI WILL BE IN THE FINAL

OT 71-71. If I recall correctly it was 36-35 UNLV at the half.

Neither team is as good as the top 6 teams at the South Point, but they are playing a fun style to watch

Let's but they were not disciplined and had too much individual play . They didn't seem comfortable in a set offense. The big East looks like a competitive conference behind DePaul, Marquette and perhaps Creighton.

I have no idea what to expect between Elon and IUPUI. looking at them in warmups it looks like IUPUI has more size. Massey predicts IUPUI by 12, but he also predicted both of these teams would lose yesterday.

IUPUI is in the Horizon so they are likely no better than third behind Green Bay and Wright St. Elon will likely be behind James Madison, but perhaps they can be a contender for an NIT slot.

IUPUI 11-6 2:30 To go in the first.

The size I saw with IUPUI was primarily reserves. But they are by far the more polished team. I'm wondering how Elon won yesterday, but then again I saw UNLV before and they did look as good then. This shouldn't be too close.
