The Wolverines started sloppy and have had several controversial calls going the other way. Shooting well. 25-19 end of 1Q.

44-43 at the half. Notre Dame guards did a great job posting up Michigan’s late in the half. Brunelle on the other hand hasn’t been able to get clear for the 3 pointer and just has 2 points off of an offensive rebound.
Hillmon and Walker lead their teams with 12 each.

44-43 MICH at the half
MICH with 12 off reb in the first half. That’s a lot.

I don’t know how ND is staying in this. They’re being out rebounded 37-15 at the moment.

ND 76-72 final
Michigan had 24 turnovers and couldn’t find a shot at the line. Crap.

Brunelle got off to a slow start but took over in the 4th. Destinee Walker has been a nice surprise as her and Brunelle have assumed the lead offensive roles on this team so far. ND might be below average this year but if they can keep this core together and along with Marshall & Westbeld they can really be good in 2 or 3 years.

Looks like it'll be a short stay for the Irish outside the top 25.

Ouuuch FGCU have been pretty good these past few tournaments so this does not shock me. They shoot a lot of 3’s

Yeah, growing pains. On the plus side, this ND team is really learning defense, so when the offense eventually comes, look out.
It looks like the main problem was ND's turnoverfest. A difference of 15 turnovers could easily explain a 9 point loss, especially against a midmajor that was considered one of the top midmajors.
