Was checking out the Lady Vols roster and saw this group photo. The tallest player is listed 6’5”, the players on either side are listed 6’5” (#31) and 6’4” (#11). The photo seems to work if Tamari Key (#20) is changed to 6’7”.

True that Laughing Last night I realized that the announcer at JMU had introduced PG Maddy Green as 5'6. Maddy has been 5'4 ever since she got to JMU, and I can't tell that she suddenly sprouted 2 inches over the summer.

Players in high school generally exaggerate their heights because it gets them more scouts to watch them play. Some teams eliminate players purely on height. However, some players will actually underestimate their heights. I suppose to gain the psychological element of surprise against their opposition. Then you also have players who grow and their heights are not updated.
