Thanks for keeping this stuff going, awhom111, even when you don't have a site to post them on. Hope you get it back soon.

Quick question: FIBA altered their foreigner restriction rules a little for this season, didn't they? I'm sure I have some vague recollection of them limiting total imports, even if they're naturalised Europeans. So what's the rule now? Mostly wondering how much of UMMC's ridiculous squad can be used at the same time.

ETA: Found the regulations myself: http://www.fiba.basketball/euroleaguewomen/19-20/regulations.pdf They've made it extra-complicated or themselves with the 'These provisions on eligibility do not apply retroactively' clause. That's presumably how UMMC have already gone over the 3-foreigner limit.

Still no update on the website, but hopefully soon.

Yeah, the changes on naturalized players were reported over the summer, but it was a while before we got any details. It seemed to me that a few teams are carrying European players that play for non-European national teams, and if I am reading the rules right, that is now allowed. If true, that could be a huge boon to African national teams.

Usually we only get limited information on these, but since this was a big case, we get a ton of details:
http://www.fiba.basketball/en/Module/85132837-66aa-4ff3-a063-8cdfe44ea14d/6961983d-e9fa-42c5-93ea-9f8c711ba29b

It's pretty interesting if you want an idea of how much Turkish teams were offering before their economic issues to below WNBA level players with European passports.

Yikes. This is presumably the same team that Ogunbowale, Paris, Angelica Robinson and Jo Leedham are currently playing for. If they were genuinely struggling to pay Henry (rather than just trying to avoid doing so) then this seems like it could send them bust. You can see why players are willing to go to Turkey even when some parts of it have been dangerous over the years, though.

Wow - Henry getting 240k for a season, when she could barely get off the bench in the WNBA. Incredible.

This is Turkish league, reasonable is not what you expect from financial management in those teams generally speaking. There are many cases of few-season wonders that magically got money and disappeared same way.

China played their first games today and I have seen results, but not stats, so hopefully Yao Ming can get that fixed soon.

Keep in mind that these amounts are after tax so it's a longer season, but that's triple the WNBA max salary in take home pay.

Looks like China cornered the market on bigs with Cambage, McCowan, Kalani Brown, Kelley Cain, Dolson, Plaisance, Amber Harris, Bone, Zahui, Charles, Howard, their own Han & Li Yueru, and probably more. It took me a while to figure out that Xian Yang Parker was Cheyenne Parker. Laughing

I was surprised to see Machine Gun Maggie was playing in China. Must be a low budget club to sign a mere guard.....Led her team in both points and rebounds in their last game.

I don't want to wait until the last game is played to mention that I may be let off the hook a big as Ekaterinburg losing to Riga may be a bigger upset than Duke losing yesterday.

I do like how Marina Mabrey was just treating it like just another win in her first game while her teammates were celebrating because the other team on court probably has ten times the payroll and is unlikely to lose another game this season.

Laughing It does look like Mabrey has no clue. She tosses the ball toward the referee and walks off while her teammates run past her. Then she turns around with an expression like, "What's going on?"

25 points from Binta Drammeh. Maybe she's sending a message to the Swedish National Team.

Here's the whole game:
