Ocasio-Cortez to endorse Sanders for president

Quote:
Sanders, who has been struggling to keep pace in the polls with former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), had announced during Tuesday night's Democratic debate in Ohio that a special guest would join him at a rally in the New York City borough of Queens on Saturday.

Ocasio-Cortez, who was a volunteer organizer for Sanders's 2016 presidential campaign, has been one of the most influential figures among progressives since she defeated former Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) in a 2018 primary.

Her endorsement could deal a blow to Warren, who is competing with Sanders for the liberal wing of the party's base.

....orrr....it could HELP Elizabeth in the long run, winning over the multitudes who think she and Bernie are tied for title of "Too Far Out There", if they're thinking, "Oh....AOC likes Bernie, so Liz must be a bit more moderate." Who knows how things like this might finally play out in the minds of The Masses (See: Trumpettes, as an example). I personally love Elizabeth AND Bernie, way more than Joe.

Really wish people would stop giving Bernie credit for stuff other people did

That being said - really tough week for Liz. AOC’s endorsement was going to go to one of the two. Given this and the debate performance..interested in seeing if Liz’ popularity takes a hit.

AOC on sudden fame.

Interesting view of her job. Most of our elected 'leaders' only love themselves.

Ocasio-Cortez says she'll win reelection by 'kicking ass' at her job
https://www.politico.com/states/new-york/city-hall/story/2019/11/06/ocasio-cortez-says-shell-win-reelection-by-kicking-ass-at-her-job-1226580

Quote:
The firebrand freshman knocked off longtime Rep. Joe Crowley to win her seat last year, and said she plans to run the same kind of campaign this time around.

“I always feel like the best way for me to run is to really kick ass at my job,” she told reporters Wednesday night when asked about her primary challenger. “I aspire to do it better than anyone who’s tried to hold this seat before.”
