Can we use different stats? I can host my own site and make my players remember how to shoot....

Howard started 1-6, Alaire was 0-4, Nelson was 5-14, and erm. That’s a great start to the week.

My number 1 pick, Lauren Cox went 4-13 against New Hampshire. The rest of Baylor shot over 60%. So yes, I feel your pain

We have our first DNP:

Hemphill for Buffalo.
Calbearman can replace her with another player who plays later in the week.

And our first illegal entry:
Lynx cannot play her BSU girl against a DII, so please name another game she plays this week.

It seems that Summer is over (hopefully she just didn't play tonight but I don't know) Since I was playing her as a U I can replace her with anyone, but I was wondering, if I had played her as a forward would I have to replace her with another forward, assuming that I had played another forward as a U.

I will replace Summer Hemphill with

11/8 U Elizabeth Balogun Louisville (vs Murray St)

I hope she can reproduce her 5-6 3 point shooting today against Western Kentucky, but that isn't too likely.

I'm thinking it should be fine to replace with anybody so long as you had another F already in the U category.

Matt, there's a glitch I can't figure out. I haven't gone thru everybody's stats to see if anyone else is having this issue...but on my stats, I should have 5 rebounds under the weekly totals number. For some reason it's ignoring my second player, only for rebounds. I've looked at the formula and everything looks right to me. Can you see what it might be?

Which probably means everybody should check their stats and make sure they are carrying over properly. Good to try to catch these early.

hmmm: I see tbinta's second player's rebounds are also not showing up on the weekly. Maybe that's a problem all the way thru.

For some reason, some but not all of the numbers got formatted as text, so they weren't being counted? Not sure if there were some problems with the sheet or it's down to how the data is being pasted in. I reformatted everyone's sheet for now, but we will have to keep an eye on it. Strange that it only happened to a few of the records though.

That's a little concerning too. I guess with ESPN having live boxscores, it may be possible to grab data from one that's not official even if the game says it's gone final. That might be an advantage to using Stats since I think they only have the final boxscores. Well, we can always change the sheet back and use that if this first week using ESPN continues to have issues Laughing

Anyway, I went ahead and pasted EO's final stat line in to test the other issue, so it should be good now.

Is there an easy way for me to double check this after I've put the scores in? Like can I highlight all the numbers and click something to make sure it's numerical?

Yeah, you can. Highlight them and then in the top menu, Format -> Number and it should be Automatic, not Plain Text. You can just click Automatic to change it for all the highlighted cells if needed, but I think this is too much to do for every entry if it continues to be a problem. Let's see.

Injury problems are already plaguing my team. Summer Hemphill has been out for both the exhibition game and Buffalo's first regular season game, and yet I have been unable to find out what is going on with her. Now Mikayla Vaughn is injured and out for 4-6 weeks. I need to make a move.

Drop: Mikayla Vaughn
Add: Uju Ezeudu F Denver (Summit)

When I tuned in to watch Ericka Mattingly(UMKC) opening day, Ezeudu, a freshman, really impressed me. She is from Ohio but I knew nothing about her until Tuesday. I am probably reacting too quickly, but I need someone now.

Didn’t realize it was a DII program, oops!

Replace her with U, Nicole Cardanos-Hillary, George Mason, 11/10

lineup for week 2:

11/14: TF Lauren Cox Baylor - Big12 (vs. Houston Baptist)
11/17: F Uju Ezeudu Denver - Summit(vs Cal Poly)
11/13: F Megan Walker Connecticut - AAC(vs Vanderbilt)
11/14: G Katie Campbell Gonzaga - WCC(vs Tennessee Martin)
11/14: G Elizabeth Balogun Louisville - ACC(vs C Michigan)
11/14: U Michaela Onyenwere UCLA - Pac12(vs Long Beach St)
11/14: U Fran Belibi Stanford - Pac12(vs N Colorado)
11/14: U Katlyn Gilbert Notre Dame - ACC(vs Michigan St)

With both guards not playing and no info on another, I didn't have much choice.

(Note: I hope I updated this in the right form. I am leaving to go out of town right now so I can't wait to see when you post, but if there is a problem I will fix it for subsequent weeks)

ok, as we start getting week two lineups I have a special request as to formatting:

This will help me immensely:
Please post in the following format:

11/14: (details including position and school) - league name

So in particular, the date with a colon after it at the beginning and the league name of the player you're playing at the very end.
League name can be in parenthesis or not as it suits you. This is to allow me to copy and paste into an excel file and then be able to sort by date, and by league name, which allows me to see all the players on a particular date in order by league so I can find their scores easier.

Details: league name can be abbreviated. Also, as calbearman did in his posting, it would be good to include the opponent. Not a requirement, but it helps if in fact you make the mistake like I did and put down the wrong date for your player's game. It will also help if a game gets postponed.

hmm, actually we need to deal with games that get postponed as well. If it's postponed to another week, I think we will treat it like a DNP and you can replace with another player who plays later. In this case, as soon as the postponement is announced you could make the switch without waiting for gametime if this sounds ok to y'all.

BTW: In the interest of sportsmanship (since we will be opponents, and two of my top players really don't play next week Crying or Very sad ): Bearman, your top guards will have games next week since both are in the WNIT and all the teams are guaranteed at least three games. You just won't know who or where they will play until after their Monday games.

Anybody else with WNIT players, you can just list the player and the approximate date and say WNIT as the opponent. I think third round games will be Nov 14 or 15. If you list it as "11/14:" I'll figure it out from there.

Twisted Evil

One steal short, and three assists short heading into the fourth. I don't think I'll make it.
