Yotes were down 10 at the three minute mark 72-62. They went on a 14-0 run as they stormed back to escape a bubble bursting loss, 80-76 in the end.

I watched the game. Quite entertaining. Looks like NE is better than most (me) expected. Some good Freshmen.

Megan Duffy won her Marquette debut as they defeated Morgan State 70-48 in one of their scream games hosting students for a field trip. Junior Selena Lott scored a career high 24 points. Let's just say that there's lots that Marquette can learn from this game Smile - it's definitely going to be a rebuilding year...

Lady Vols starting off a bit slow against my alma mater, East Tennessee State, over in Johnson City. Tied at 10 with 2:48 left in the first.

Lady Vols up 61-50 after three. It's been a rather scrappy game. ETSU has been terrible with free throws and Tennessee hasn't done particularly well scoring after offensive rebounds...and fouling on rebounds. A first game of the season type of game.

Tennessee 72, East Tennessee State 68. Final.

Erica Haynes-Overton for ETSU had 41 points. The Lady Vols just couldn't stop her.

South Carolina defeated Alabama State 103-43 to open their season. The 3rd time in 3 years these teams have faced each other, and the score has been pretty consistent each time, so no surprises here.

Six Gamecocks score in double-digits in a balanced game - the player of note for South Carolina is freshman Post Aliyah Boston, who in her college debut started things off nicely, with a triple-double of 12 pts, 12 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots. Also added 3 steals for good luck. It was only the 7th triple-double in program history.....

Things get serious in the next game this Sunday in College Park, MD at 3:00 pm....

Enjoying watching the UWGB at Central Michigan game on ESPN+. It's going more at Central Michigan's pace for scoring. It's tied at 77 with about 5 minutes to go in the game.

Going to OT tied at 88 - good game.

UWGB pulls it out in double overtime 111-105. Wow - that's a pretty high scoring game for them even in two overtimes Smile.

The Jory Collins era began at NDSU today. Bison lost big to UNI. Hopefully after three different regimes, a change is gonna come.

Wish I coulda seen that game! Was it a real *shootout*, or not-really-hot defense? (....or both?)

I think it was a little bit of both. It was a big game of runs. When I first turned it on, I thought it was coming up on the end of the 3rd quarter because of the score - wasn't used to seeing a team have 51 against UWGB in a half. I read today that UWGB fell just short of the most points they've ever scored in a game and it's only the second time they've ever given up more than 100 points in a game.
