I was going through some old stuff (for my post in the collectibles forum) and I realized how much I really miss the Charlotte Sting. Three hours from my house to their games. It was SUCH a lot of fun. Anyone here go to their games?

Yeah, the Trudi Lacey administration in CLT did not go well. I wonder what Muggsy could’ve/would’ve done if given more time. It’s possible he only got hired to fill time until the whole thing went up in smoke. I wonder if the new Hornets will consider reviving the Sting. That would be nice. Smile

It's a shame that Michael Jordan doesn't seem to have any interest in returning the Sting to Charlotte. The Sting were typically at the bottom in terms of attendance. You do wonder if the Sting's original planned move to Kansas City had come through if we'd be at 13 teams still.

I’ve always wondered how Charlotte managed to be one one of the original teams over other major markets like Chicago, DC, or even Miami.

Team's go where an owner wants them. Everything else is secondary.
