awhom111, have FIBA said anything about who's going to host the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments? Is it going to be four different hosts, all teams involved in each tournament? Or do we have no clue at this point?

I think that's how it will work with hosts chosen after the pre-qualifying tournaments. Every time I look at the new system, it gives me a headache. FIBA is the master of taking sort of good ideas and ruining the execution completely.

God knows how they're going to seed the draw for these tournaments - if at all - but we could end up with something like Belgium, Japan, Mali and Puerto Rico in a group. That's gonna be some fun travel for three of the four teams (expensive too, with some smaller nations with limited funds inevitably involved).
