Yeah im Thinking LA or DC as well . No one has mention Vegas though , they're weakest position is at SF so im sure evil bill and Cabbage would be delighted to bring in Lori Ann ! |
As much as I'd love for her to go to the Mystics, omg, she seems like the anti-Thibault type of player lol..she seems more of a Dirty Bill type. With Derek Fisher's benching of Parker in the playoffs, idk if Fish would put up with her attitude. Atlanta coddled and enabled her behavior....esp. fans (sorry pilight).

| With Engelbert there and the formalness of it all, that makes the announcements seem even bigger than a new arena & new designs/colors. Anyone think they might be changing the name of the team?

| According to the NY Times article a while back, Sienko was apparently "tasked with overhauling their brand, including redesigning the team’s logo and pursuing new partnerships with Atlanta businesses that might be interested in supporting women’s initiatives in the area". So my guess is that this is the launch of the new look, and if it comes with some new sponsorships as part of the package, all the better. |

It's 9 am and nothing is happening even though it says it is happening now. Maybe I don't know of how watch live stream on fb?
Dream web page is saying 12 pm.

| It's starting. At GICC = College Park. Live video stopped working (for me at least). New logo.

1. I hate the live stream cut off. Yikes!
2. I do like the new logo and that the color scheme is more red with gray. They are right, it does align more with red as the focal color for the other 4 pro teams.
3. I am happy about the arena. I did get to watch a little of the live stream and it was very pointed when she said "They want us" haha. I don't know how the Dream were hurting State Farm Arena (or whatever it's call this decade) but oh well fine be that way.
I did look up the Gateway Center to see about Marta access. It looks like you have to start at the airport:
From Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
Via the ATL SkyTrain (automated people mover):
Follow the overhead signs and hallway placards toward the Rental Car Center. Proceed out of the west end of the terminal under the covered walkway. Take the escalator up to the station and board the ATL SkyTrain for the free, short ride to the Gateway Station.

| I got on the Sky train once by accident. It is pretty nice. I think it is there to take people to GICC (and the rental car lot.) Sure it is a quick ride. For me it would probably be quicker than driving and cheaper than parking.

| They got the live stream going again. Logo feels very familiar, but nice enough. Can't blame them for moving somewhere small (and presumably cheap) when 3,500 is big enough to hold most of their actual crowds in recent years. |
