Glad Coach Thibault turned this franchise around. |
And, by "turned around," you mean, Elena Delle Donne fell into his lap, right? Because before she woke up one day and decided that she didn't want to be in Chicago any more, Thibault had managed to "turn around" the Mystics to the tune of three consecutive first-round exits, and a trip to the lottery.

Yes that’s all I do |
Just gets annoying. I much prefer to talk about anything other than the stupid refs. They've been a point of contention since the beginning of time.

Is Kiara Leslie the first player to win a title without ever playing one second? |
- In the series, or the entire season? Because neither Miao Lijie or Sui Feifei played a minute in the 2005 Playoffs.
- If a player doesn't play in the playoffs, doesn't the rest of the team have to vote on whether that player gets a playoff share and/or a ring? That's how it works in the NBA, at any rate.

I am happy for Thibault. I still think this very Sun franchise shouldn’t have fired him when they did. Maybe he (& Charles?) would still be in Connecticut and... well, who knows.
Also, I wonder now if this opens the floodgates for the younger Thibault to be a head coach elsewhere? Or maybe Eric is satisfied coaching under the direction of Dear Old Dad.

Two years ago, the Mystics were the only active WNBA team that had never even been to the Finals.
I miss the good ol' days.

Agree 1000%. That's just poor losers talking.
WE WON!!! WE ARE WNBA CHAMPIONS!!!
My only quibble was having The Sheila receive the trophy. We won in spite of her. It took so long to win our first because of her. Sit, Sheila, sit.

Entertaining finals, congrats to the Mystics!
Lobo didn't seemed thrilled about the outcome. Any idea why?

Who says she needs a reason? I'm not thrilled about the outcome, either.
Are "Happy for the Mystics" or "Neutral" the only allowable options for a broadcaster?

Words can't say how much this feel as a Original Mystics STH, coming home game after game with disappointment and finally joy. Wow, 21 years later a WNBA Championship Title comes to the DMV, Yeeeesssssss !!!!!

Never said she needed a reason, or that she had to be happy or neutral. I was just curious about her reaction. There is a good bit talk here about her being a homer for certain teams and drooling over specific players and I wondered if that played a part.
